Lucy had her hands full trying to control Stinky and the hose. Lucy wondered 'Where is Zac when I need him?' Just then Stink started shaking himself crazily splashing water all over Lucy. Lucy gave a sigh of relief when she saw Zac coming towards her with Ike following behind him. They both chuckled at the sight of Lucy trying to control Stinky. Lucy had a very good idea. Lucy let go of Stinky giving up on him figuring her was clean enough for now and would try again later. Stinky ran around the yard splashing water everywhere. Ike still laughing walked over to Lucy. With the hose still in her hand 'Should I?' she asked herself smiling. Before Ike knew it Lucy aimed the hose at him and he was covered with freezing cold water.
"You! I'm going to get you!" Ike said as he ran toward Lucy. Lucy laughed and sprayed him some more. In the corner of her eye she saw Zac trying to sneak behind her. She turned around with a jerk and sprayed him right in the face. Zac was incredible surprised and it left his mouth wide open! Lucy suddenly felt arms around her waist causing her to jump and to drop the hose. "I got you!" she heard in her ear coming from Ike. Instantly Zac grabbed the hose and sprayed them both. Ike let go of Lucy and they both chased Zac around the yard trying to get the hose away from him and getting soaked at the same time. Soon Zac was backed into a corner surrounded by a huge oak tree. Not knowing what else to do and not wanting the get soaked anymore he let go of the hose and climbing rather quickly up the tree. Ike and Lucy looked at each other and smiled. Ike grabbed the hose and sprayed it up the tree just barely getting Zac. After a few minutes and getting tired of Zac little remarks on how they couldn't get him Ike went and turned off the hose. Lucy kept on eye on Zac and was ready to pounce on him the second he got down from the tree. Soon Lucy realized she had no idea where Stinky was.
"Hey Lucy? I thought you had a new dog?" Ike asked Lucy
"I know I just remembered we have to look for him, Zac get down from there I promise I won't do anything to you alright?" Zac looked at Lucy not entirely believing her but he knew he had to get down sooner or later. He jumped down and slowly walked towards Lucy. He felt arms grab his sides and he shrieked. He turned around looked at Ike's smiling face.
"Lucy promised not me!" Ike said grinning at Lucy. Lucy just shook her head.
"Good one Ike." Lucy said still shaking her head.
Ike and Zac went looking into the back part of the yard hoping for success in searching for Stinky. Lucy walked into the house forgetting she was entirely soaked. She walked into the kitchen and her feet made a squish squash sound every time she made a step. She walked into the living and gasped. There he was soaking wet sprawled on the couch snoozing.
"Get off! Get off!" Lucy screamed as she tried to push the creature off. Stinky just looked at her like what did she think she was doing. Lucy tried once more to push the dog off and Stinky let out a little whimper.
"Now, don't try and pull that puppy dog act on me pal!" Lucy said very irritated now. "That's it!" Lucy said as she picked up the shaggy and soaked dog and brought him outside. Stinky ran over to Ike to inspect this new person. Ike bent down and let the dog lick his fingers.
"Nice dog Lucy, what's its name Stinky?" Ike asked while Stinky smelled Ike's Doc Martens.
"Yea it was Zac's idea." Zac stood there grinning. "Well guys I would to stay here and chat but I'm kinda soaked, and I would like to take a shower and change."
"Alright babe, I think that goes for me too I'm not exactly dry either." Ike said pointed to his water stained shirt. Ike walked over to Lucy and gave her a quick kiss. When he looked at her she looked unsatisfied.
"That's all? I was expecting a little more...," Lucy said, as she blushed a little. Ike raised his eyebrows and kissed her once more but deepened this kiss. Lucy got excited when she felt Ike's tongue against hers.
"Alright I don't think I can handle this anymore!" Zac said as he grabbed his stomach and fell to the ground. He pretended to have a spasm and started to shake his whole body. Lucy and Ike ignored him and kissed even more intensely.
Back at the Hanson Home
Through Taylor's eyes he saw a blank piece of paper that would stay that way. He couldn't think of anything to write a song about. He scribbled done some little ideas but they wouldn't mature into anything else than a few simple words. He was frustrated and irritated. Taylor got up from his part of the bed. He had the lower bunk of the bunk bed him and Ike shared. Taylor looked at the boys' room searching for something to keep himself occupied. He didn't feel like listening to music, he didn't feel like writing, he didn't feel like doing anything unless he could do it with Lucy. 'How can one girl do this to me?' Taylor wondered. 'I can't even be with her even if I really wanted to, but do I?' Taylor heard a car pull in. He got up and glanced through his window and saw his father get out of the car and Ike running somewhere that he figured was Lucy's. Taylor walked downstairs to greet his father.
"Hey dad, where did you and Ike go?" Taylor asked trying to make small talk.
"Oh, we had that 'sudden' meeting with the people at Mercury." Taylor looked a bit more interested now.
"Why? What did they want?" Taylor asked
"Well it seems like instead of you guys going to Europe when your vacation is done, they want you to go to Maine for 2 weeks, maybe more, to shoot another video. Does that sound good to you?" Mr. Hanson asked as he raised his eyebrows trying to read Taylor's expression.
"Hey, that sounds good to me, what about Ike? What did he think?" Taylor asked still happy with the thought of getting away soon.
"He says it's fine with him as long as it's ok with you and Zac. Personally I don't he wants to go because of Lucy." Mr. Hanson said and noticed the facial change on Taylor.
"What's the matter Tay? Are you and Lucy getting along fine?" Mr. Hanson asked Taylor trying to guess if there was anything the matter.
"No no Lucy and I get along fine, why did you think there was anything wrong? Nothing's wrong. I think I'm going over there right now. I'll go see what Zac thinks about going to Maine. Hey dad? If we do go to Maine then when would we leave?" Taylor said very quickly that he lost his breath. He was glad his dad didn't notice.
"Well, I believe it's sometime next week but there hasn't been any definite plans. Make sure you guys come home early tonight so we can discuss this ok?" Mr. Hanson said
"Yea sure dad, see ya later!" Taylor said as he walked out the front door.
