Chapter 28

Lucy stared blankly at the lady in front of her. She was taller than herself maybe around 5'6 with short cropped brown hair. Lucy was puzzled and flattered. Before Lucy could get a word in edgewise the lady and had already grabbed her arm and began to drag her half way across the set. Lucy saw Taylor and Zac look up and gave Lucy a funny look. The director lady stopped smack dab in front of the two. She politely shoved Lucy and made a gesture towards her.

"Taylor, Zac, I would like you to meet 'Madeline'." Zac jumped up and gave Lucy a hug. Taylor's mouth dropped and he saw Ike behind Lucy. He was eyeing Taylor with anger.

"Wow Lucy! This is sooo great!" Zac exclaimed not weakening his hold on Lucy. "Zac." Lucy gasped for air and pointed towards her throat, "Get, off me! Please!" Zac laughed when he realized how much of a hold he had on her. Taylor backed away and started to walk away realizing he and Lucy would have to share a kiss in front of Ike. It was just too much for him to handle.

While everyone huddling around the new 'Madeline', Ike looked around for Taylor. There was no sign of him so Ike thought he would take a walk and go look for him. Walking past the crowded hallway and trying to avoid questions, Ike made it to an empty hallway. He glanced down by the glass door and saw Taylor outside sitting on a lawn chair. Ike still not happy about Lucy becoming Madeline, he decided he would just go back to the hotel.

After all the excitement Lucy was ready to go find Ike. Lucy was given instructions for what she was supposed to learn and do for the video. She wasn't too thrilled about it, basically because when she read the scene where she was supposed to kiss Taylor she was weak in the knee's. She could probably deal with a peck on the lips but no the writers put a big mushy scene, with lots of tongue. 'I wonder if Ike knows about this.' Lucy mumbled to herself. She ran through the mobs of people that were everywhere. She looked down an empty hallway that seemed not to be in use and saw Taylor. Lucy bit her lip and pondering on whether she should go talk to him. 'Ah well it wouldn't hurt'. Lucy took a deep breath and walked down the hallway. She opened the glass door and gazed onto Taylor. He seemed to be in deep thought and not paying any attention to what was happening around him. Lucy saw another lawn chair close to Taylor and went to sit down. He seemed a little shocked to see her when he did finally notice her.

"Hey Taylor, what are you doing out here?" Lucy asked. Taylor glanced in her direction but not directly looking at her, replied "Well, I had some things on my mind and needed to sort them out." Lucy felt a little weak, "Sorting things out? Do I have anything to do with it?" Taylor stood up quickly and his eyes flared up. " Just because I have some problems doesn't mean it has to do with you! Maybe you are my problem, wait a minute you are MY problem! I wish I never met you, I wish you would just leave." Lucy's eyes welled up with tears. "I'm sorry" She barely whispered. Taylor just shook his head and stormed down the hallway. Lucy sat by herself and silently cried alone.

'Hmm.... I wonder where everyone ran off too' Zac thought to himself. He ran outta the main crowds and went out to search for a familiar face. He figured Ike was probably with Lucy somewhere and Taylor was somewhere. As Zac entered the hallway, Taylor ran right into him. "Watch it Zac!" Taylor scolded as he shoved Zac outta his way. "WELL excuse me, Mr. Cranky!" Zac saw Lucy by herself outside and started to walk toward her. Lucy looked up and Zac saw her puffy eyes and redden face. His expression fell as he figured she either got into a fight with Ike or Taylor.

"Hey Luc," Zac said comfortingly, "Are you ok?" Lucy's eyes suddenly became watery again and she held her arms out to Zac. He quickly responded and they held each other in their arms. "Ohh Zac, Taylor just yelled at me. He hates me and resents me for being with Ike. What am I going to do?" Zac didn't know what to say. He was only 11 years old. How was he supposed to know? "Lucy, do you like Taylor, honestly?" Lucy bit her lip and thought for a second. "Yes, I do, but I like Ike more. He's my Ike, and then again Taylor makes me feel special inside. He lights my heart in a different way then Ike." Lucy sighed and cried into Zac's arms again. "Lucy I don't know what to say" Lucy pulled away and kissed Zac's cheek gently. "You don't have to say anything just stay here with me." Zac smiled, "Of course."

'I'm sooo furious, but not at her. I shouldn't have yelled at her.' Taylor yelled at himself for the way he treated Lucy. 'I'm just going to have to find someone else, I have to get over her.' Taylor walked out of the building and decided to walk into the park. The park was full of a lot of busy people. Taylor realized he didn't want to draw any attention to himself so he walked over to a little pond with no one around it. He sat by the pond on the smooth grass. He sat there for about 10 minutes just thinking of Lucy. He felt an arm on his shoulder causing him to stand up and turn around. There standing before him was a slender girl about 5'6. She had long black hair half way down her back with exquisite emerald eyes. His heart melted.

"Hello. My name is Jay-Dee, I saw you sitting here all alone and I guess you looked a bit sad so I wanted to say hi." She seemed a bit nervous and embarassed. Taylor smiled and held out his hand to her. She quickly responded, yet her gaze never left his. "Hey, Jay-Dee I'm Taylor." Her face flushed up quickly. "I know. I know who you are." Taylor smiled and she they both sat by the pond and started to talk. Taylor's thoughts of Lucy were soon forgotten.

"Zac, I've made up my mind, I'm not going to become 'Madeline'." Lucy declared. Zac looked at her questioningly. "If that's what you want Lucy." Lucy started to walk back to the hotel with Zac. "Yeah, Zac I think this is what I want I mean, the best thing for me is to stay with Ike. Taylor can find someone else, I need Ike." Lucy's face lighted up. They both walked side by side in silence all the way back to the hotel. Soon Lucy and Zac were walking down their hallway and Lucy fished in her pocket for the key. "Here Zac, I'm going to go talk to Ike. I'll be in the room later ok?" Zac nodded and took the key. Lucy took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She heard movement and her blood boiled when the door opened. Ike stood before her looking a bit upset. Lucy stared into his eyes and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm sorry Ike." Not knowing what to do, Ike pulled Lucy closer and closed the door. He drew her to the bed and they sat down. "Its ok Lucy, are you ok?" Lucy smiled. "Now that I'm with you I am." Lucy smiled and threw his arms around her and started to kiss her neck. Lucy responded by drawing him on top of her.

His lips brushed up against hers, which caused shivers up his spine. 'She kiss's nothing like Lucy' Taylor thought quietly to himself. It seemed to be that him and Jay-Dee had a lot in common and Taylor was greatly attracted to her also. The only problem was, he couldn't stop thinking of Lucy. They had somehow made it into Jay-Dee's house that was only a block away from their hotel. One thing led to another and they ended up kissing on her bed. The kisses became more and more intense, but the only thing on Taylor's mind was still only Lucy. He had to get out of there.

"Jay-Dee?" Taylor asked innocently as he slowly pulled his lips away. She smiled and asked yes. "I think it's about time I get back to the hotel, but you can come and meet my brothers if you like?" Her eyes lit up like a Christmas Tree. "That sounds like fun!" she replied excitedly.

They both made their way to the hotel. Taylor was surprised when Jay-Dee took his hand into hers. It made him smile but it also only made him feel worse. He knew he was only with her to forgot about Lucy and it wasn't working.

Lucy pulled herself away from Ike, the guy she knew she had a lot of feelings for, yet she was beginning to think she was never in love with him; but in love with his younger sibling, Taylor. She knew what was the more logical thing to do; stay with Ike. He loved her and would treat her right. That's all that she needed, or was it? Lucy felt Ike's arms around her and she gently hugged him back. She was slightly startled when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," Ike yelled loud enough for the people outside to hear. Taylor and a young girl walked in. She was fairly pretty in Lucy's point of view. Nice shape, and decent facial looks. She felt envious when she saw their hands locked together. The girl looked nervous and confused when she looked at Lucy.

"Hey Ike, hey Lucy, this is Jay-Dee. I met her while I was in the park." Ike all of a sudden seemed very happy. He jumped up and put out his hand to shake hers. When her hand was in his, he bent down and his lips brushed against the skin of her hand. Lucy's face flushed, Ike looked upon Jay-Dee as if it was her. Jay-Dee eyed Lucy with hatred and anger. Her eyes was like a piercing dagger stabbing Lucy in the heart.

"Hello, Jay-Dee nice to meet a nice looking girl like yourself." Ike's flirtatous smile drove Lucy insane, little did she know it drove Taylor crazy too.

What the hell is he doing???? Taylor thought, why is he treating Lucy like this? Can't he see she's upset now. I don't blame her. I should say sorry for yelling at her before.
