Amy's parents came home and found her asleep on the bed. "Amy, wake up. Wake up!" Amy's mom (Marie) was shaking Amy violently. "What, what?" "We're going to Tulsa with Jade's family!" Amy instantly sat up remembering about the trip. "Yeah, she told me." "That means we can't go to San Diego this year." Amy's dad (Mark) told her. "I know. I don't care."
Every year Amy's family took a trip to San Diego. They would always go to visit their Uncle Nick. Amy always had the best time. They would go to the beach and a new amusement park every year. But this year was going to be different. She would rather go to Hanson's home town than anywhere else in the world. She could stand to miss a year of San Diego.
Amy glanced at the clock and realized she had been asleep for two hours. She grabbed the remote control and stopped the tape. She flipped around and found Fresh Prince. She left it there and got up. She walked into the kitchen and got a Coke. She went back to the couch and wasn't tired at all anymore. MEANWHILE
Jade was lying in her room listening to Hanson. Her younger sister Jennifer stood outside the doorway and asked if she could come in. Every time she walked in without asking, Jade would literally through her out. Jade shook her head and Jennifer stepped in. "I can't wait to go to Tulsa. Can you?" Jennifer asked with a twinkle in her eye. "Will you stop bothering me about Tulsa? You know how much I want to go." "Sorry" Jennifer said.
"JADE!!!! Will you fold the laundry? I don't want to ask you again." Jade heard her mom yelling from the kitchen. She got up and walked to the living room to start folding laundry.
"Mom, can Amy spend the night?"
"Did you fold the laundry?"
"Yeah"
"I suppose she can."
Jade walked to her room and picked up the phone. "Hello?" Amy answered the phone. "Can you spend the night?" Jade asked excitedly. "Hold on, let me see." There was a long pause. Finally Amy came back and told her she could.
"After I eat dinner. Oh, and I'll bring my rollerblades."
"Alright, cool." Jade responded. "Peace out," Amy giggled. "Laters," They had wanted to have a different way to hang up instead of bye, so they decided to say "Peace out" and "Laters".
Amy's dad pulled into Jade's driveway and let her out. Jade ran out and helped Amy get her things. As they walked up to her house, Jade explained that her parents went out to eat for their anniversary. As they stepped inside, Amy saw Jennifer putting on her rollerblades. "We're going to the church to rollerblade." Jade smiled. There was a church up Jade's street and they always went there to rollerblade. "But your par...." Jade interrupted her, "Don't worry about it," and walked into her room to get her rollerblades.
Amy set her stuff down by the door and smiled. She walked out the back door where Jennifer was. "Hi" Amy said cheerfully. She just responded with a smile. Jade walked out and they both started putting on their rollerblades. "Are you excited to go to Tulsa Amy?" Jennifer asked. Here we go again. Jade thought. "OH YEAH!!!!" Amy screamed. Jade wrote a note for her parents and they left.
They practiced moves and stunts for a while. It started to get dark so they decided to go home. Amy was afraid of Jade's parents getting mad. When they arrived home they didn't seem to care. "What did you guys have to eat?" Her mom (Bridget) asked. "Nothing." Jade answered. "Let's go to McDonald's!" Jennifer blurted out. There was a McDonald's that had just opened down the street. Bridget said they would go at ten.
They went at ten and came home with a lot of food. After they finished eating Jennifer let out a loud burp. "Jenni!! Excuse yourself." Amy said. She called her Jenni for short. Jenni just started laughing.
Jade and Amy stayed up all night writing poems and talking about Hanson. They had three sodas each to keep themselves up. They also did each others hair for a while, practicing different hairstyles.
The next day, they woke up at one o'clock. Amy had to leave at four. When she got home she thought of Tulsa and Hanson the whole time until she was called to dinner.
