"Oh Taylor, where did you get cute little doggie!" Lucy exclaimed with excitement.
After Zac recovered from laughing the little dog pounced on him causing Taylor and Lucy to laugh. Taylor walked into the hallway giving Lucy his killer smile.
"You like your present Lucy?" Taylor said as Lucy's eyes lit up and her mouth dropped.
"You..You... got this for me? Lucy stammered.
"Well let's just say he followed me home." Taylor said full of delight.
Not knowing what to say she picked up the furry little creature. The little dog loved all the attention.
"Thank you Taylor, I love him, but what do we call him?" Lucy asked still smiling upon the dog.
"I don't know, it's your dog now. Zac you have any ideas?" Taylor asked
Zac looked up and thought for a minute. His noise started to twitch and glared upon the dog with a sicken look.
"Well I think we should call him Stinky because I really think it needs a bath!" Zac said holding his hand to his noise to block the odor.
"Yea he could use one!" Lucy said laughing, "I like that name I think it's a keeper. I guess we should get the hose!" As soon as Lucy said this Stinky started to squirm in her arms and jumped to the floor. Stinky ran around the house smelling everything. The three laughed. Stinky wouldn't stop running around the first floor then he ran up the stairs. It didn't seem to bother anyone that Stinky was making a mess everywhere. Until Lucy spoke up.
"Hey Zac?" Lucy said with a silly grin on her face.
"Yea?" Zac said smiling
"I have a job for you. Go find Stinky!" Lucy laughed and so did Taylor
"Oh!" Zac said as he climbed up the stairs. Soon Lucy and Taylor heard Zac running from room to room trying to get the dog.
"Heh! Come on Tay you can help me get the hose." Lucy said thinking maybe she should talk to Taylor about what happened when he left. He nodded and they walked out the backdoor towards the garage. It was an unusually humid day out. Lucy pushed the little button to the electric door and it slowly worked its way up. Lucy looked around for the hose and then Taylor pointed it out in the far back corner. Lucy thought 'This is probably a good enough time then ever to say something.' But before she could say anything Taylor spoke.
"Lucy, I'm sorry for before. I shouldn't of, well looked at you in that way. I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable." Taylor said looking out towards the house to see if Zac was coming.
Lucy thought for a moment, "Tay, well you did make me feel a little uncomfortable, I dunno I think we should just forget it right? I won't say anything to Ike if that's what you're thinking. I don't know what else to say." Lucy said softly.
"Me neither." Taylor said sounding a bit upset. He picked up the hose and made his way back to Lucy's yard.
'Alright what the hell just happened? I mean is he upset at me? Himself? Or is he even upset at all? maybe he just felt weird talking like this. Shit I know I was. Damn it.' Thought Lucy
Taylor unraveled the hose and hooked it up to the water knob on the side of the house. He dragged it back to the cemented little patio area getting it ready for Stinky. He looked over towards the garage and saw Lucy was still in there. 'Did I just make a fool of myself? I have to get outta here.' With that Taylor walked down the driveway and walked back to his house not even saying good bye to Lucy or Zac. Lucy watched Taylor leave but she didn't know what to say so she just walked back into the house to help Zac.
"Finally I got you!" Zac said triumphantly. Smiling upon his victim. "Come on time for your bath!" Zac walked downstairs trying to control the dog. He nearly fell down the stairs when Lucy ran up to help him.
"Need some help?" Lucy said smiling. "Here give him to me." Lucy held her hands out and brought Stinky outside. Zac looked around searching for Taylor.
"Hey where's Tay?" Zac asked.
"Um would you go turn the hose on for me? Oh Taylor? He went home" Lucy said trying to make it sound unimportant, but Zac wasn't stupid.
"Why?" He asked
"Um I think he said he had stuff to do or something I dunno. Will ya please turn the water on for me?" Lucy said once more.
"Sure." Zac said a little puzzled. He got up and walked to the driveway and turned the knob all the way. He felt the water rush through the hose. He looked up as he heard a car go by. He saw his Dad and Isaac get out of the car. Isaac started to walk toward the driveway once he saw Zac he walked toward him.
